Creating Your 7 Day Memory Fitness Program

Since January Memory Fitness Matters has offered a variety of blogs covering memory basics, memory strategies, brain aerobics and ideas devoted to memory and aging.

For the next few months I am going to encourage you to consider this program where, like the blogs, you concentrate on something for a period of time. How this program differs is that each day of the week you have a different area to consider as you go through your daily routine.

Whenever you read suggestions on how to improve your memory, there seems to be a lot to absorb. You may wonder where to begin or just pick one area to work on and ignore the rest. This program provides a holistic approach which can impact your memory and focuses on some of the keys to successful aging.

Monday Create a positive mindset. Attitude matters.
Tuesday Improve your ability to pay attention. Be in the present moment.
Wednesday Upgrade your lifestyle choices. Better choices can improve your focus.
Thursday Develop effective memory props.
Friday Socialize and stay connected with others.
Saturday Incorporate new ways to challenge your brain.
Sunday Create a better balance in your life.

This week take a little time to review the overview of this program to prepare for the upcoming blogs introducing each area.

Next week the MONDAY plan will be introduced. Follow the blogs each week and at the end of 2 months you will have all the information you need to begin your ongoing 7 day memory fitness plan.

Be a student so long as you still have something to learn,
and this will mean all your life.” Henry L. Doherty
